The mini travel hygiene products have been purchased and the shots have been administered, now all that needs to happen is treacherous bag-stuffing. I will be volunteering on a coffee plantation called Santa Anita La Finca outside of Colomba, Guatemala which is about an hour west of Quetzaltenango. Santa Anita produces 100% fair trade coffee and bananas, which means that the farmers are certifiably empowered by receiving a fair price, fair labor conditions, direct trade, community development programs, transparent organizations, and promote environmental sustainability. Every morning I've been able to blissfully brew and enjoy a hot, liquid caffeine boost...now I will finally be able to see the journey of the little berry-turned-bean. Who knew I loved coffee this much?
Hey girl, I'll be praying for you have a safe trip and stay away from weird/spicy looking food! love ya!Jass
